History

The first bits of footage for the show were gathered on Saturday the 3rd of March 2003. However the show was not really started till the next few days where we got the idea's and put the idea together.

The show was originally nicknamed "Slackass" as it was pretty much about hurting ourselves. However once our TV development team (aka, me) turned the show from a mere JackAss spin off into a totally different show.

On Tuesday the 4th of March we began heavy development of the show and came up with the name "Dirt Eater," as well as the concept of the show.

On Thursday the 13th of March we began uploading and editing our footage and produced our first trailer, "The Ledge." We also rebranded the show under the new name, Daft Ape Extreme.

On Friday the 14th of March we headed to Temple Newham for our 2nd video shoot. This day was also comic relief and we gathered sponsers for our stunts. However while doing a stunt, Ashley Banks unfortunatly cracked his skull.. We wish him a speedy recovery.
